Sri Lanka Urges Diaspora InSwitzerland To Return Home

Sri Lanka urged the Sri Lankan diasporas in Switzerland to return home and contribute to the development of the country.  Minister of Prison Reforms, Rehabilitation, Resettlement and Hindu Religious Affairs, D.M. Swaminathan noted that there are around 50,000 Sri Lankans in Switzerland. He says the Sri Lankans in Switzerland continue to make a significant contribution to Swiss society. “The unity Government has already invited the diasporas including those in Switzerland to return to their motherland and assist in the rebuilding of the country to realise its true potential,” he said. Swaminathan was speaking at an event held at the residence of the Swiss Ambassador to Sri Lanka Heinz Walker- Nederkoorn recently, to mark the Swiss National Day.

People leave the country not because they like to do it. Government armed forces etc not pleasant to them and many citizens in the country cruel not courteous abduction index criminals behaviour disgraceful conduct to citizen. Foreign government accepts them yes embassies in lanka give report to their government. Refufugees find a way to get employment of young there is family etc. So unless there is a reason many will stay put where they are. But many will return home calling family calling

Mostly uneducated Tamils may return. Anyone who integrated themselves in their country where they live, will not return. Returning to Sri Lanka like surrendering oneself into a narrow minded world from wide open world.
