Assembly on June 21 at National Chamber of Commerce on Indonesia Trade Expo

Ambassador Gusti Ngurah Ardiyasa, accompanied by Pinardi Priambodo, Counsellor, and Wiryawan Prah Utomo, Third Secretary, will have the pleasure to assemble at the National Chamber of Commerce at No. 450, D. R. Wijewardena Mawatha, Colombo 10, from 3pm to 4.30pm on June 21, 2018, to address the Business Community of Sri Lanka on bilateral trade, between Sri Lanka & Indonesia, in order to familiarize them on diverse aspects of exports, imports and investments.

This session is held also to coincide with the upcoming 33rd Trade Expo in October 2018 in Indonesia.

Indonesia is the 4th largest population in the world with 260 million population and has more than13,000 islands which is a haven for Tourists.  Horticulture flourishes and our local horticulturist has the possibility of expanding and exchanging their products.

The most expensive coffee in the world is ‘Kopi Luwak’ (Civet Coffee), which is exclusively brewed in Indonesia and the Sri Lankans travelling to Indonesia may have the opportunity to taste of it.

Trade Expo Indonesia 2018, conducted for the 33rd (Thirty-third) consecutive year, will take place from October 24 to 28, 2018. Products from eight Zones of Indonesia, and more than 1,000 exhibitors will be on display at the Exhibition.

Products exported to Indonesia from Sri Lanka range from apparels, manufactured tobacco, rice and serial, unmanufactured tobacco, woven fabrics, base metal, tea in bulk.

Products imported from Indonesia to Sri Lanka are salt, Sulphur, earths and stone, plastering materials, lime and cement, paper, articles of paper pulp, rubber and rubber articles, manufactured tobacco substitutes, miscellaneous chemical products, plastics and articles, animal or vegetable fats, pharmaceutical products, electrical machinery and equipment, vehicle spare parts, mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation, bituminous substances, mineral, machinery, mechanical appliances, nuclear reactors, boilers, etc.
