The suspect, who was arrested in connection to the shooting incident in Matara yesterday where a policeman was killed, had reportedly accompanied the Police to recover a hidden bag of clothes when he had allegedly thrown the grenade towards the Police.

Similar incidents had been reported in the past where the Police had claimed to have killed suspects in Police custody when they had attempted to attack the Police using hidden weapons or grenades. (Colombo Gazette)

Of course, and we believe that Police reacted in right to private defense. All because of the previous regime and MR, appoint commission.

  2. This is an old story very common when the Police kill some one in custody, no one will believe this cock and bull story, a Magisterial inquiry must be held.

Well done police ! Otherwise some corrupt politician would have ordered his release. Unfortunately, in Sri Lanka there is no alternative.

Look at the cause rather than the result !
