Joint opposition prepares for mass rally on August 17th

The joint opposition is preparing for a mass rally on August 17th to be staged against the Government.

Joint opposition Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa tweeted saying that on August 17th Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna members, all joint opposition parties and trade unions will stage ‘ජන බලය කොළඹට’ – a mass protest against the continued hardship of the Sri Lanka people as a result of Government policies and practices.

“It’s time for the peoples’ voices to be heard,” Namal Rajapaksa tweeted.

He also said that productive and focused organisational meetings were held with Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) members and joint opposition candidates in preparation for the mass protest against the Government on August 17th. (Colombo Gazette)

    They have the plundered money so they can organise not only on the 17th August but every week. All that is needed is arrack and buth packet and lavish pocket
    money to the participants ?
