Udathalawinna massacre
No
torture marks on drivers

A
medical examination conducted on
the two army driver suspects in the Udathalawinna massacre states there
is no indication whatsoever of any kind of torture or bodily harassment
to them.
The
examination was conducted a day after the suspects were arrested and
their statements recorded by police.
The two
army drivers, Jagath Indika Wijeyratne and Siriwardena have, more than
three months after their arrest, claimed to Teldeniya Magistrate Preethi
Inoka Ranasinghe they were tortured by the police at the time their
statements were recorded.
