Why Ranil must deproscribe now

SLMM accused of ‘partiality’

The Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM), commissioned to supervise the ceasefire now on in the island, has come under fire from the opposition.

Several opposition members of parliament, including former Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jeyaraj Fernandopulle, have accused the SLMM of being partial.

Opposition members of parliament are to take this matter up at the next Peoples’ Alliance (PA) parliamentary group meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 7, and later raise it in parliament.
