Peace talks to be postponed

THE seventh round of peace talks scheduled from Tuesday, April 29 to Friday, May 2 is expected to be postponed, The Sunday Leader reliably learns.

The talks were to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, but due to the outbreak of SARS in the region it was initially decided to shift the venue to Norway in view of LTTE Chief Negotiator Anton Balasingham's sensitive health condition.
