Coming
of Age Party
It was
a coming of age party with a difference when Varsha Perera of Melbourne,
Australia celebrated her 21st birthday on June 22 at the Mcubbin Room at
Centre Ivanhoe. A large gathering of friends and relatives were present
to wish Varsha a happy birthday. A notable feature of the party was that
the birthday girl made a request that there would be no gifts and
instead asked that any monies intended for gifts be donated to charity.
The party was also alcohol-free on her request.Varsha is the daughter of
Dr. Lalith Perera and Fern Perera and sister of Dr. Lahiru Perera and
Sharad Perera.
