Ceylinco Grameen opens branch in Chilaw

The 15th Branch of Ceylinco Grameen Credit Company Limited was opened in Chilaw by Chairman, Ceylinco Consolidated, Deshamanya Lalith Kotelawala recently.

This branch will initially cater to the poor families in Pambara, Rideewella, Mahawewa and Kudawewa in the Chilaw District to develop their individual businesses. This branch will cover the poorest segments of Chilaw in six months time. Further this branch will add more strength to the widely expanding network of branches of Ceylinco Grameen Credit Company Limited in the island. They are operating in Colombo, Bandaragama, Moratuwa, Peliyagoda, Jaffna, Trincomalee, Vavuniya, Ampara, Kandy, Kurunegala, Anuradhapura, Nuwara-Eliya, Matale, Badulla with a total membership of over 12000 families at the end of July 2003.

The Ceylinco Grameen Credit Company Limited provides small scale loans to the poorest of the poor who do not have any mortgage or guarantors with a recovery rate of 100%.
