Nuwara Eliya Horse Races

Gamini Jayaratne made it a grand slam by winning both the Sri Lankan Airlines Governor’s Cup and the Royal Ascot Cup at the Race Course in Nuwara Eliya recently.  Jockey Sharat Kumar rode Crowning Star for the Governor’s Cup and jockey S Rajesh rode the same horse for the Royal Ascot Cup.  A show of styles from the 20s by Lou Ching preceded the Governor’s Cup.
