A sing-along with Nalin and Star Combination was presented by the Colombo branches of the Ave Maria Convent PPA and Maris Stella College OBA at the BMICH. Clifford Richards compered the show and Shirley Wilathgamuwa and Ronald Gamalathge were guest artists

Wedding 

Gerry and Jean Hidelaratchi hosted a luncheon reception at the Colombo Hilton following  the solemnization of the marriage of their daughter Dr Priyangika to Dr Hobina Rajakaruna

 

Dr Hobina and Dr Priyangika in her beautifully worked going away sari.  Dr Priyangika wore a matching gold choker with tourmalines

 

Rukmani Amerasinghe in a cream silk sari woven in gold on the blue border and pallu

Mela Karunanayake in a lemon green  silk sari with silver embroidery and Srima Dissanayake in a woven purple and silver grey silk sari

Himali Nanayakkara in a white chiffon sari worked with silver embroidery and multicoloured stones and sequins and Manoji Liyanage

 

Gerry and Jean Hidelaratchi in a salmon pink chiffon georgette sari worked with multicoloured beads and sequins on the border
