UNP to present
alternate budget
The UNP will this week present an
alternate budget in Parliament setting
out how the party plans to address the
economic issues confronting the country.
The Government is to present its budget
on Wednesday, November 5.
The alternate budget of the UNP is to be
presented by Colombo District MP Ravi
Karunanayake.
The Sunday Leader learns, Opposition
Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe who left for
Japan yesterday had directed all UNP
parliamentarians to be present in the
House when the party's alternate budget
is being presented.
