In a Nutshell

Knights in white satin

And so they are back again. In droves.  All those suddhas who absolutely loved the post tsunami phase are back this time to lend a helping hand not at Hambantota - nay - but up where the action is.  And all those poor displaced - shell-shocked and battle scarred they maybe but are forced to witness a new breed.  A white face peering through tinted glass of the latest SUV!    And the dust those four wheel birds are stirring up as they rev past the barbed wire fences is enough to give those left behind the whooping cough. As if their lot in life is not bad enough as it is!!  Dear! Dear!

Loud hailer

There was Wee Flower bellowing away into the mic at the patriots day celebration by the Diyawanna when the Prez arrived. The crowd turning to look at the hero of the moment started to hail him loudly thereby drawing away attention from poor Wee Flower. He in his inimitable style didn't skip a beat and bellowed instead... "Hail the saviour of the nation, hail the king, hail the....", so there....!

Bad timing

Dee-nesh Gunay of the ministering type for development that is urban was all ready to present a paper to the cupboard to  raise the parliamentary types' overseas medical insurance facility from 200,000 smackers to 5 million. The Prez had nothing to do with it stating 'this is not the time ole boy, not the time at all." Sin no?
