Earth tremor felt in Sri Lanka

A major earth tremor was felt in several parts of Sri Lanka a short while ago following an earthquake in Sumata. A tsunami watch has been issued for the region including Sri Lanka, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia and several other countries. The earthquake in Sumatra was recorded at 8.8 on the Richter scale.
